Why Access Matters, and What We’re Doing About It

Every kid deserves the chance to discover what lights them up—whether it’s playing soccer, learning to paint, dancing on stage, or finding their rhythm in music class. But for thousands of Seacoast NH families, the cost and barriers to entry of these opportunities puts them out of reach.

Decades of research has shown that being involved in out-of-school activities has numerous physiological, social, and physical benefits. Kids who are involved in activities outside of school on average have stronger mental health, do better in school, learn soft skills such as teamwork and leadership, and live healthier lifestyles. But not all kids have access to these life-changing activities.

That’s where The KEY Collective comes in.

We believe access is everything. It’s not just about signing up for a sport or joining an afterschool club—it’s about confidence, connection, and belonging. When kids can explore their interests without financial barriers or red tape, the impact is huge.

Our solution? The #areuin? card.

Through our #areuin? card program, we make it simple for low-income kids to participate in the activities they love or try something new. We work directly with the community partners that provide the activities to ensure a seamless, respectful experience for every family. Those partners are the rec. departments, the art studios, and the travel teams. This simple card makes a big difference. Instead of applying for scholarships or asking for discounts for every single program a kid wants to try, families receive an #areuin? card directly from us. It’s pre-approved, discreet, and ready to use at a growing network of local programs, camps, and lessons.
