How it Works: From Application to Activity

So you keep hearing about the #areuin? card, but aren’t sure how it works. Let’s take a step-by-step look at the process, from filling out the application to engaging in activities with our program partners.

First off, how does a child qualify for an #areuin? card?

The #areuin? card is available to K-12 youth who live in the Exeter, Hampton, Portsmouth, or Seabrook school districts. There are three ways a kid can qualify: if they have NH Medicaid, Free & Reduced Lunch, or if they are nominated by a community validator–such as a pediatrician, school nurse, counselor, or social worker–that is familiar with the family’s financial situation. The application is available on the KEY Collective website, making it simple and easy, while maintaining as much anonymity as possible.

Once a kid has the card, then what happens?

The #areuin? card is like an EZPass for all of KEY Collective’s program partner activities. Once a family fills out the application and receives the card, they are automatically qualified for the scholarships and discounts offered by 40+ partners that KEY Collective has a relationship with. No need to fill out more paperwork or ask the program for assistance. Each partner has a different registration process, but it’s usually as simple as showing the card or providing the #areuin? membership number at registration. Easy and anonymous!

What kind of scholarships and discounts are we talking about?

Our partners cover the costs of the scholarships and discounts, so they offer what their program can handle. Some offer full scholarships, while others offer discounts or perks such as waiving fees. Each partner has their own page on the KEY Collective website detailing what they offer and how to access it.

It’s our goal to make sure that all kids, regardless of financial status, have access to the same opportunities as their peers, without any social stigma. That means that there’s no need to fill out additional income or financial paperwork when an #areuin? card member signs up for activities through our program partners. Less time filling out paperwork and jumping through red tape means kids are engaged and participating in more activities!
