About the Organization
Lantern Light Camps is a nonprofit summer camp and outdoor education organization in Northwood, New Hampshire, serving children and teens through weeklong day and overnight programs. Lantern Light offers immersive, community-centered experiences that blend outdoor adventure, creative expression, and unstructured play in a supportive, small-camp environment. Grounded in the belief that young people grow when they are known, trusted, and meaningfully challenged, the camp emphasizes strong relationships, thoughtful mentorship, and age-appropriate responsibility.
The mission of Lantern Light Camps is to provide safe, inclusive, and developmentally intentional experiences that foster confidence, resilience, connection to nature, and community. Campers spend their days engaged in lake activities, outdoor and frontier skills, climbing, arts, games, and exploration—building skills while learning to collaborate, problem-solve, and care for others. By prioritizing staff training, accessibility, and depth over scale, Lantern Light creates a place where campers feel supported to try new things and carry those lessons well beyond the summer.
