Community Hoops
About the Organization
Community Hoops is a Seacoast New Hampshire-based basketball development program for boys and girls ages 8–18 that focuses on teaching players how to think, communicate, and make decisions within the flow of the game. Inspired by traditional pickup basketball, the program emphasizes learning through movement, spacing, timing, and self-organization in competitive, game-like environments where players are encouraged to read the floor, recognize advantages, communicate with teammates, and solve problems collaboratively rather than rely on constant coach instruction. Community Hoops provides a competitive yet inclusive atmosphere where athletes can improve their basketball IQ, skills, leadership, and overall feel for the game while still supporting multi-sport participation and long-term athletic development.
