Introducing #areuin? Card Experiences

When KEY Collective launched the #areuin? card program in 2017, the goal was simple: remove red tape and social stigma to connect kids to meaningful out-of-school opportunities. Now, we’re excited to expand that access even further by offering Experiences in addition to our traditional programs.

What are the Experiences?

Experiences are one-time opportunities that give youth access to activities they might not otherwise try. Our first Experience partner was the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. They offer #areuin? card members deeply discounted $3.50/person admission for themselves, two parents or guardians, and any other dependent children in the same household. Inviting #areuin? families to visit at a rate that is almost 75% off the ticket price allows the whole family to experience the learning and joy that comes with visiting the museum, without worrying about the cost.

Other experiences include Exeter Bowling Lanes, offering a game for $2.00 per person for an entire #areuin? card family, plus free shoe rentals. Prescott Park Arts Festival offers free season passes to #areuin? card families for the 2026 season through their Family-in-Need Program, ensuring everyone has access to the arts, regardless of their income. Seacoast Science Center and Strawbery Banke offer free admission for #areuin? card members and their families.

Why Experiences Matter for Youth Development

1. Exposure Builds Confidence and Deeper Engagement

Trying something new, even one time, can spark confidence or a new interest. When kids step into a new environment and realize they belong there, it changes how they see themselves and the world.

2. Social Connection Reduces Isolation

Out-of-school time is critical for building friendships and practicing social skills. Experiences outside of the home and away from screens bring youth together in shared settings where they can collaborate, communicate, and socialize with their peers.

3. Lower Barriers Means Greater Equity

Not every family can commit to a full season of programming due to time constraints, transportation factors, or many other reasons. Experiences create entry points. They allow families to engage at a level that works for them financially and logistically.

At its core, the #areuin? card is about access. By adding Experiences, KEY Collective is widening the circle of access and giving more youth the chance to explore new interests.
